A beach...in Marble Falls?

One afternoon last week, my daughter and I went to Marble Falls for a bit. We love exploring downtown, visiting the different shops, and just getting to know people. It's a really friendly place in that regard as people are easy to get to know. On this particular day, my daughter said that she wanted to do something different, but didn't know what. So, we drove down around Lakeside Park which is just off of Main Street on the banks of Lake Marble Falls

Within the park is a community center, pool, and a beach. Yes, a beach - beach sand and umbrellas right on the lake! It is beautiful spot and has lake access for swimming. We walked for a bit, dipped our toes in the water, and sat under an umbrella and enjoyed the breeze. We didn't spend a long time as it was pretty hot in the middle of the afternoon, but it seems like a great place to spend some quality time lakeside with the family.

Close to Lakeside Park is a public boat ramp with parking dedicated to trucks with trailers. There are also picnic tables, play structures for children, a golf course, and a skate park. Improvements are being made as well as it appears the city is doing some work along the park (though I have not yet confirmed the purpose). This park is a hidden gem in Marble Falls. We continue to be thrilled with our decision to move to the area. It has more than exceeded our expectations as there seems to be a new surprise around every corner.
